Microsoft Center Of Excellence Update #1 – Beginnings

At the start of the year we had two main objectives for the Microsoft Center of Excellence.

Firstly, to help our specialists grow professionally; and secondly, to provide our customers with the most relevant and promising Microsoft technologies. I’m delighted to say, that although we are still in the early stages, these two objectives are really starting to take shape and I would like to share with you what we have in the pipeline.

Similar to our Top Gun Lab, we are currently in the process of establishing a lab dedicated solely to Microsoft technologies. This is where small groups of talented juniors/mid-specialists will learn the latest technologies, both theory and with a lot of hands-on practice. The top performing students will be offered a job after they graduate. The first group of students are scheduled to start in September with their main focus being on Dynamics 365. The Lab will be based in Kharkiv and we are currently in the process of interviewing candidates for the position of Microsoft Lab Head. If you know someone that would be interested or if you want to learn more, you can find out more here.

Another one of several ongoing activities for the Microsoft Center of Excellence is the Microsoft certification initiative. Around thirty of our employees have signed up and we are very happy to announce that we have our first four certifications. A huge congratulations and well done to:

  • Alexander – recently passed Exams: 70-483 Programming in C#, 70-486 Developing ASP.NET MVC Web Applications, and 70-487 Developing Microsoft Azure and Web Services.
  • Kostiantyn – passed Exam 70-761 Querying Data with Transact-SQL.

I am delighted with the progress that has been made so far this year and I am looking forward to further developing our partnership with Microsoft and our competency with Microsoft products and services. We will keep you updated on any further developments throughout the course of the year.
