Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Description
Team International is a global Tech consulting company and software development service provider. With more than 20 years of experience, global operations in Poland, the United States, Portugal, and Latin America, and over 1500 employees, we combine technology knowledge, an agile approach to addressing various business challenges, and business information, all while maintaining a customer-centric perspective.
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our forward-thinking
cloud development and operation team. In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and
operations of sophisticated cloud-based solutions using the CNCF ecosystem based on Kubernetes and Golang. You
will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security and performance of container infrastructure, and
mentoring team members and Mirantis customers to deliver high-quality software and service. As a senior
engineer, you will work closely with stakeholders to define technical strategies, solve complex challenges, and
ensure seamless integration of cloud and software services. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant
impact while driving innovation in a rapidly evolving cloud ecosystem.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with geographically distributed international teams on technical challenges and process improvements.
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes open source software solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and backport necessary fixes in the Golang code base.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud operations and development.
- Design and Implement Artificial Intelligence automation in different parts of the DevOps processes including code development and maintenance.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to the customers during the delivery phases.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Infrastructure-Focused Systems Engineering: 5+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering,
SRE, or Systems Development, with a strict focus on cloud-native infrastructure internals rather than
generic application microservices.
- Deep Kubernetes Internals & Control Plane Architecture: Proven expertise in operating and debugging
production-grade Kubernetes at scale. You must deeply understand component lifecycles, API-server
bottlenecks, and control-plane mechanics (Admission Controllers like Kyverno, Custom Resource
Definitions, etc.).
-Advanced Low-Level Linux & Networking Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Linux kernel networking
stack. Practical experience managing and troubleshooting host-level primitives including Linux bridges,VLAN/VXLAN encapsulation, routing tables, ipsets, and iptables / nftables.
-Network & Kernel Troubleshooting Toolkit: Expert-level Linux low-level diagnostics.
-Kubernetes Networking & Storage Ecosystems: Direct, hands-on experience configuring and debugging
complex Container Network Interfaces (CNI) and Container Storage Interfaces (CSI), preferably Ceph.
-Systems Programming (Golang): Strong proficiency in Golang for writing or debugging custom controllers,
operators, or patching open-source infrastructure tools, supplemented by scripting capabilities (Python,
Bash) for system automation.
-Complex Telco Architecture & Topology Mapping: Ability to quickly conceptualize, map out, and navigate
highly customized, multi-tiered enterprise deployment architectures typical in the Telecommunications
sector. You must be able to methodically isolate root causes across hybrid environments where application
code, container runtimes, and physical Telco infrastructure intersect.
-L4 Engineering On-Call & Customer Facing Clarity: Exceptional verbal and written English communication
skills, specifically the ability to maintain composure, translate deeply technical system failures into clear
action items during live debugging bridges, and participate in a 24/7 rotating L4 software assurance on-call
shift (one week-long shift per month, low volume).
Nice to have:
Prior domain knowledge in Telco network functions (e.g., 5G Core, OpenRAN, NFV architectures, SR-IOV,
or DPDK accelerated networking).
Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
-At least 5 years of Software Development experience or in a similar role
What We Offer
