The Bulgarian IСT sector has grown by 300 percent in the last seven years, as BTA reported. The EU country is also a member of the established Alliance for Language Technologies European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (ALT-EDIC), which addresses the scarcity of European language data available for AI solutions.
Moreover, its IT industry remains resilient, with ICT services making up 7.27 percent of the overall GDP (The European Commission Report 2024). According to Statista, the sector's steady growth is projected to hit $586.57 million by 2029 in software development and outsourcing alone.
