WHY KHARKOV
Kharkov is historically considered to be the scientific and intellectual center of Ukraine. With its higher educational institutions and powerful R&D centers Kharkov is currently considered as the Silicone Valley of Eastern Europe.
The prosperity of the Kharkov science dates back to the 1950s. At that time Kharkov became one of the world’s biggest centers of the space research, which, in turn, caused rapid development of physical and mathematical applications. By the 1980s Kharkov had already counted nearly 300 research and planning institutes and as many as 80,000 scientists.

After the standstill in the Ukrainian science in the early 1990s, Kharkov has been revived as the country’s intellectual center. More than 20,000 IT graduates enter Ukraine’s talent pool annually.
Kharkov’s IT market is generally regarded as one of the best developed in Ukraine after Kyiv.
It has a great potential of becoming Europe’s major offshoring and nearshoring hub in the near future.
