WATERFALL METHODOLOGY
Within this methodology each consequent phase begins after the previous one has been done.
Strengths:
Inputs and outputs of each phase are well defined
Planned and predictable results
Thorough resource planning
Weaknesses:
Not flexible for changing business needs
Low customer involvement which may cause unexpected results
An idealistic model which cannot always be applicable in real life
When to use:
Requirements are stable and well defined
Changes to business needs are not expected
Deep customer involvement is not required or cannot be done for some reasons
