According to this review, Q2 saw a marginal increase in outsourcing transaction volumes and in the number of captive establishments: in Q2 global outsourcing transaction volume increased by 3% compared to Q1; captive announcements rose from 16 in Q1 to 18 in Q2, while captive divestures dropped from 3 to 2. In Q2 North America accounted for 39% of the transactions compared to 43% in Q1, while Europe accounted for 41% of transactions compared to 36% in Q1. In Q2 Europe witnessed 5 major captive announcements, Asia witnessed 10 announcements and Latin America – 2 announcements.  In Q2 global sourcing witnessed a significant increase from the North American financial services firms – 46% compared to 26% in Q1. On the other hand, the participation of the European financial services companies in global sourcing transactions dropped from 35% in Q1 to 26% in Q2.
